I am heartbroken by Carol's passing. She was my first friend when my family returned to the US after living abroad. We were freshman in high school. Our friendship endured for 61 years, and I will remember her as a loyal, supportive and fun-loving friend. She will never be replaced, and I will miss her terribly.

Loving tribute to a friend -- from high school, in Chicago as young career women, and when we both lived in NYC. We ran in Central Park, took Chinese cooking classes and explored art in the city. I admired her spirit, her giving nature, her desire to see the world.

I knew Carol as one of her group of California friends. She was the glue that held us together and I will miss her.

I'm so sad to hear this news. Carol used to take my aerobics classes in NYC at NY Sports Clubs. She was always such a beautiful and vibrant person with such positive energy. She will be missed.

Carol and I worked for the telecommunications for a while. She such gracious and generous soul. My worldly travel was enhanced by being able to share with her. I will miss her greatly. Condolences to you, her family and friends

My heart goes out to Carol's family, friends, and love ones. There will no doubt be many. I spent one day volunteering with her more than a decade ago. One day. In that short time, I saw Carol has a warm and special soul. That she is living her best life and, somewhere, out there, she is still brightening up our universe.

If roses grow in heaven “Lord” then pick a bunch for me ,place them in “Carol” arms and tell her they’re from me. Tell her that I love and miss her, and when she turn to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile. Will miss you at the (GYM ) Zelda Vernon?????
