I had the opportunity to work with Greg just last month. We immediately clicked as we had much in common, I am also from Illinois, so U of I and Peoria, traveling and servicing the community. I am shocked and very sad. I was looking forward to working with him again and sharing good times. My deepest condolences to you. Many blessings, Gus

No, I initially said, after hearing the news of Greg’s passing – reflecting the sadness and shock I felt then, and still feel. My heart and thoughts go across the Pacific Ocean to Millie, Joshua and Mark. Greg was a very good and generous person and a loving husband and father. I have vivid memories of the summer of 1981, living with Greg’s family and how his father used to laugh with delight overhearing the dreams that Greg and I shared each night with each other. I was so happy when Greg was in Australia the following year and he stayed with my family for several weeks. Distance and time unfortunately preclude me from being at Greg’s funeral Mass, though he and his loved ones are very much in my mind. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Greg grew up in rural Illinois but was always an international thinker and lover of travel. His obituary reads just as I would have expected - full of travel, love, and kindness spread all over the world. He was my classmate from kindergarten through high school graduation. We were a small class, but Greg had a big impact. It makes me proud to have shared a small part of his life.
