Obituary of Lydia Montes

Anyone who’s ever been to Manhattan Plaza has a cherished memory of walking into the building and being greeted by the most spunky and happy face, welcoming you with a smile right by the entrance. Whether it was her relaxing and making small talk with everyone who knew her, or zooming by as she made her way out, growing up in MP means you knew and loved Lydia. Walking into Manhattan Plaza will never be the same, but I know she’s still around, making jokes and enjoying the breeze. She will be forever missed but never forgotten.

Lydia was a kind soul with a big heart. I will always remember her lovely and sweet smile. She was one of my childhood friends from Calvary Christian Church. Rest in peace dear friend.

Your mom was so cool in the early childhood and teenage years when we were all friends back in the church days. She was kind the glue that held us together. I miss those days just like we all miss her and love her so much. I’m sure you’re sweet just like your mom. Bless her soul and bless you and the family.
