I met Richard and Lizette at the Toms River Brewery several years ago. I invited myself and the group I was with, to their picnic table. They were both extremely accommodating and super friendly people. From that moment on, we all developed a bond and love for each other that was special. Our friendship was unconditional with Lizette and Richard. He was funny, talented, extremely creative, loving, caring, and crazy. There was no one like Richard. God definitely broke the mold after he made him. He will be missed dearly by everyone who he touched. RIP Pagán. ?????????

I’ve had the pleasure of spending many holidays and special events with Rich through the years. He introduced me to a number of craft beers that we enjoyed together with great stories and lots of jokes. From the 4th of July we spent on the rooftop of his building to my 50th birthday down at the jersey shore when to my surprise he walked in with Lizette ,Tiffany and Chelsea. It really made my day. Hard to pick a single memory as every one of them was a fun time. I feel blessed to have known you and spent so many great times together. You will forever be missed . Rest in peace brother.

I was fortunate to share many a beer and rock concert with Richie. He was a great family friend who was always happy to talk about Springsteen or U2 (or any music for that matter) and told the funniest stories. He will be incredibly missed by our family.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of Uncle Rich is his beaming personality! He was always a joy to be around. Whenever he was in the room everyone gravitated to him. He was so charming and intelligent that he would catch everyone's interest. I think he taught us all how to live life to the fullest , laugh hard and love even harder. Uncle Rich your vibrant memory lives on in your son Adrian your soon to be granddaughter and the love of your life Lizette! We celebrate a beautiful life. Rest in Eternal Peace. Love , Jamie ??

Richard is my cousin, it blew my mind of his unexpected passing. I reflect back on those great family reunions we used to have when our parents got together. Although now I see we were only 5 years apart I always looked up to him for his down to earth and humble ways. Everytime we got together we always engaged in conversation and remembering good times.Memories...that's what is left when someone is gone. Richard will always be in our hearts, always remembered.I will always be grateful for the time he brought his Dad to visit his brother, my Dad at the Nursing home. Although emotional, he made their day. Like most families, we may have drifted apart with our busy lives, but always close at heart. Rest in Peace, Richard, you will be missed.

I had the great pleasure to be able to work with Rich. Rich was one of my customers who I always looked forward to seeing and talking to. Although Rich was always so busy, he always took the time to have nice conversation with me. I am from NJ so we had great conversations about how much he enjoyed going to his NJ Beach House. I will miss him Dearly! Love you Rich!

Thinking of you on this Father’s Day, as I sip on a “Richie P” created by your friends at Battle River. These past few weeks have been a whirlwind of emotions as I process life on this plane without you… but I feel your energy and your spirit all around me which gives me strength to carry on. I want to thank you for all of our shared memories that I get to relive in my mind and feel in my heart. I love you - Happy Fathers Day!

I only got to work with Rich for a short time but his impact will stay with me forever. We immediately clicked and I was so happy to have found someone who was very much focused on getting things done and improving things as I am. It’s rare to find someone as dedicated, hard-working, and insightful as Rich. And while he was “strict” he was also such a calm person who never lost his cool. He was well-regarded by everyone who worked with him; coworkers, residents and vendors. He established professional relationships that lasted over a decade. In our time together, Rich begrudgingly had to spend about an hour long meeting with me every day as we worked through administrative items (he’d rather be getting things done than sitting at a desk) but in that time together, we bonded over our similar taste in music. He had a passion for record-collecting, the great music that came out pre 00s, and also loved the beach. I will fondly remember our chats. He really made coming to work a better place. His eyes lit up whenever he spoke about his partner and his kids. I wish his family and loved ones peace and hope that you are able to hold many good memories close to your heart.

I met Richie over eleven years ago when he went on his first date with Lizzette, Virginia and I waited around to make sure he was ok. Well, he was more than okay, and from that point forward we grew to love you, you remained true to yourself: loving, considerate, inviting, and the life of the party. Your kindness, laughter, and broken Spanish knew no bounds. You shared your love of music, which has always stayed with me. The amount of detail, patience, and knowledge you displayed when listening to an album taught me to take things slow and live in the moment. I still can’t shake my head around the fact that your gone, as I think of that I recall the words of a great astronomer who said “The physics of cremation the energy contents of your body itself reduced to ash actually enters earth’s atmosphere and ultimately escapes to space in the form of infrared energy radiating in all directions at the speed of light filing the voids of the cosmos with your presence at the moment I write this your energy has extended a half trillion miles into space more than 100 times the distance to Pluto though you will live in our collective memories for all our lives in the universe you live for all eternity" When I look up at the sky, I know you're still with us somewhere up there.
