Obituary of John D. Singh

May 7, 2024

John was a man who truly lived life to the fullest. He was vibrant, full of life, and unapologetically himself. In a family that may have often misunderstood his unconventional ways, John stood out. He followed his own path, driven by a fierce self-motivation and an unwavering passion for success. He believed in doing what made him happy, and that belief was the cornerstone of his life's journey.

John’s passions led him to a successful acting career, where he brought characters to life with his unique talent and infectious energy. He was a proud and official member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), a testament to his dedication and professionalism in the industry. Those who knew John would undoubtedly agree that he was the life of the party. He had an innate ability to make everyone around him smile, to lift spirits, and to create moments of joy that we will all cherish forever. His laughter was infectious, and his presence was always a source of comfort and delight.

John's education wasn't formal, but the lessons he learned from the school of hard knocks were invaluable. He embraced life's challenges with a resilient spirit, turning every setback into an opportunity for growth. His experiences shaped him into a wise and resourceful individual, someone we all looked up to and admired.

As a father, John was loving and understanding. As a son and a brother, he was caring and supportive. And as an entrepreneur, he was innovative and driven, always striving to turn his dreams into reality. His legacy is not just in the success he achieved but in the lives he touched and the hearts he warmed.

In remembering John, aka Jay Moe, aka Wise, let us celebrate the vibrant spirit that he was. Let us honor his memory by carrying forward the joy he spread, the love he shared, and the passion he embodied. Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit will live on in our hearts, in our stories, and in the smiles he left behind.

John's legacy is one of joy, resilience, and an unyielding zest for life. He taught us to embrace the unconventional, to follow our passions, and to always find reasons to smile, even in the face of adversity. His spirit will live on in the stories we share, the laughter we remember, and the lessons he imparted to each of us.

John is survived by his beautiful children Sadé-Tajhmattie Singh and John Singh; his biological siblings Mohendra Singh, Maha Singh, Nadira Singh Brandenburg, Teddy Singh, Mooneshwarie Singh Bernard, Glory Mohammad, Sonny Singh, Nowena Bacchus (aka Joanie Singh), Roger Singh (father’s side), and a brother in Suriname.
