Obituary of Lalbahadur Singh

Lalbahadur “Hardat” Singh was born November 20, 1942 to Chate Narine Singh and Mahadai Chooraman in Cornelia Ida, Guyana. He is survived by his adoring wife Bibi Waheda Singh, his two daughters Lisa Singh and Linda Singh. Three grandchildren, Cailyn, Leandra and Aiden, his four sisters, Lily Singh, Dana Singer, Dolly Singh, Wanda Singh, his first wife Farida Singh and many other family members.

Hardy, as he was referred to by his friends was a loving and genuine man who enjoyed life, dancing, and lived it to the fullest. He migrated to the United Staes in 1968. He built a thriving plumbing business which enabled him to bring his family from Guyana to America. As a man of deep faith and generosity, he also built The Evangelist Church in Mabura Guyana which serves the Amerindian community to this day.

In his later years, Hardy enjoyed traveling and long walks. He also instilled in everyone he loved that hard work and education was the key to a successful and blessed life.

As we all know Hardy, he always “Kept hope alive”
