I am devastated by the loss of Chris. I last saw her in 2016 when she went out of her way to meet me and others at a little reunion while I was in New York. She only was able to stay 1/2 hour and I cherish that moment every day. Chris was very special to me at a dire time in my life. I almost died of appendicitis in 1972. When I finally was able to come home from the hospital I was restricted for 2 weeks. Chris came over and made me a lasagna from scratch.I've never seen that done and watching her grind the tomatoes with her fist was a treat. She didn't remember it but I NEVER forgot it. That's who Chris was. I tear up every day I think of her. I know she is now free from pain but she is so missed!!

Christine was a remarkable, supportive friend who was the first person and first true friend I met as a student during Stony Brook Physician Assistant program. Her friendship, emotional support, great sense of humor, extraordinary Italian cooking, trusted movie companion and so much more truly helped me get through that tough medical program. Her ‘movie going staple’ was a large comfortable pillow and a thin, eloquent blanket that always accompanied her as we would meet to go to the movie theatre. I am forever grateful that our life’s journey brought us together. She was a remarkable force of positivity, life and a quintessential being!
