Jeffrey Lawrence, 85, of New York City, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 26, 2023. He was predeceased by his beloved life partner, Alan, and is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear lifelong friends. Born on November 9, 1937, in Oak Park, Illinois, Jeffrey began performing, dancing, and singing at a young age. At the remarkable age of 15, he joined the United States Navy, serving his country with honor for several years before embarking on a journey that took him from Los Angeles, California, to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he showcased his talents as a dancer. Later, he settled in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he successfully established a vibrant lounge. Eventually, Jeffrey found his way to New York City, where he met his life partner, Alan M. Bentley, with whom he shared 44 years of love and companionship. In New York, Jeffrey continued to pursue a career in acting, singing, and dancing for several years.

Jeffrey's passion for fashion was undeniable, and his impeccable style made him the best-dressed man wherever he went. His love for fashion eventually led him to transition into entrepreneurship, opening his own designer clothing and accessories business. Alan joined him in this venture, and together they cultivated a large international company, allowing them to explore the world through their travels. In between their adventures, they found happiness in New York City. Over the summers they created four decades of treasured memories in Capri. Above all, Jeffrey was a people person, possessing an extraordinary gift for making friends wherever he went. He held a genuine appreciation for the importance of human connections and consistently demonstrated kindness, loyalty, generosity, thoughtfulness, and unwavering support. His remarkable sense of fashion became synonymous with his character. Jeffrey's family and friends will deeply miss his presence in their lives.
