Obituary of Virginia Mary Yorio

Virginia M. Yorio, 82, passed away on September 22, 2022. A successful Finance and Housing Executive; she was born and raised in College Point, New York to Victor and Virginia Yorio and lived her whole life in New York City. She received her baccalaureate from Mount St. Vincent and Master’s in Business Administration from Pace University.
Virginia is survived by her sister, Vivian (Yorio) Donatelli, and nieces Angela M. Donatelli, Genni G. Yorio, and Vanessa Yorio-Dickinson and her husband; nephews Benjamin N. Donatelli III and wife, Carrie, Anthony D. Donatelli and wife, Caitlin, William J. Yorio and his wife Diane, Michael Yorio and his wife Liz; and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Virginia is pre-deceased her brother Victor A. Yorio and nephew Victor A. Yorio Jr.
Virginia was deeply devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed travel – near and far – spending time on five of the seven continents. Virginia was very dedicated to helping others, through charities and directly by sharing her talent for teaching. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be Monday (September 26) at 10am with a mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Church, 329 W 42nd Street, New York, New York. Calling hours are 2-6pm, Sunday (September 25) at Crestwood Funeral Home, 445 W 43rd Street, New York, New York.
The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations in Virginia’s memory be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation online or mailed to Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.

I am blessed to have known Ginger. She was an inspiration, loved life and it was a joy to work with her. I will miss her.
