Obituary of Bea Curtis

Passed away on December 15, 2021 in West Palm Beach.

Survived by her daughter, Karen Curtis; sister-in-Law, Barbara Oberlander; brother-in-law, Phil Slater, nephew Irving Levy, niece and nephew Beth and Jonathan Oberlander, nieces Natalie Slater and Elisa Rusonis and many Great nieces, Great nephews & cousins.

Born in Boston, Bea grew up in New Hampshire. Overcoming Polio that she got as an infant she was courageous and strong. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire and received her MSW from Boston University. She had a successful career in social work, child placement and for many years worked for Nyana in NY helping to settle Russian Jewish immigrants.

She loved the arts; theatre, travel, movies, comedy, spending time with friends & family. She was full of energy, a happy person, the strongest, fiercest women I knew and can only hope to have her strength with her incredible heart.

She will be greatly missed.
