Obituary of Elijah Leonard

6’5 and well over 250 lbs would sound like an imposing figure to most – but once you met Elijah you immediately realized he was the gentlest of souls. He was Born May 16,1978 in Bronx, NY and except for 3 years in France, he lived in New York most of his life.

Elijah attended La Guardia High School which is where he met most of his lifelong friends – a beautiful international mish mash of artistic spirits.

Elijah received a full scholarship to Syracuse University, School of Visual and Performing Arts and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Graphics with concentration in Three-Dimensional Design, Electronic Illustration, Web Design, Traditional Illustration and Fine Arts.

He loved his animation work and had little regard for physical or worldly comforts. Since age 8, he has walked around with a sketchbook. Constantly illustrating and recording the images of life.

Although he was an only child, he had a huge gregarious and fun-loving extended family who loved him unconditionally.
