Obituary of Catherine Koval

Catherine (Kay) Koval died at home on Friday, 10/8/2021 with her daughter Joan and her son-in-law Chris by her side. Kay was born at home on 75th street and the east side of Manhattan. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Koval and six sisters and brothers, Margaret, Frances, Josephine, Anthony, Joesph and Mary. Kay was Gramma to Liam (Christine), Tara (Deco) and David (Kayleigh)
Her daughters Joan and Barbara Koval will miss her terribly along with her family and friends and her amazing caregiver Eppie.
Kay was a renown autograph collector and was often seen briskly walking through the Manhattan streets in search of a celebrity in the theater district. She enjoyed the company of several life long friends within NYC's autograph community.
People who were not sure of her name would call her "Joy" or "smiley" because she was filled with light, humor and would begin tap dancing as soon as she heard a good tune.
A viewing for close family and friends will be at the Crestwood Funeral Home, 445 West 43rd Street in NYC on 10/10 from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers please connect in prayer and extend peace and healing today.
