Obituary of Peggy Ann Jackson

Peggy Ann Jackson, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jackson was born on December 25th, 1949, in New York City. She attended public schools in Manhattan and graduated from the City College of New York in 1970. Peggy Ann became a dedicated teacher in the field of Early Childhood Education. She very much-loved working with preschool and kindergarten students. Peggy Ann's classrooms were a joy to see. As a member of the Body of Christ, Peggy Ann attended Union Baptist Church, where our late grandmother Mrs. Edith Bell was a very active member and leader of the Usher Board for many years.

Peggy Jackson participated in the Civil Rights movement of the 1970s in Harlem, where she attended meetings, helped with fundraising, and recruiting members.

Peggy Ann Jackson's life will be cherished in the memory of her son Kwame Jackson, her brothers Jay and Keith Jackson, her sister Joyce, and each of their respective families, her cousins, Olivia Moore and family, Oliver James Perry and family, Diana Bell and family, Patricia Perry Brooks and family, Frank Perry and family, and her dear and close friend, Mary Barnette.

Peggy Ann is predeceased by her Mother Mildred Jackson and Robert Jackson, grandfather and grandmother Willie and Edith Bell, her aunt Ethel Perry, and her first cousin Tracey Perry.

The Jackson and Perry families will miss her gentle soul, her sense of humor, her intellect, her wonderful and detailed storytelling, and her laughter.

Peggy Ann, you are now truly blessed beyond the curse of sin, so be proactive in Heaven and rest in the Peace of Jesus Christ.
