WalterI just asked Nate Last week if he remembers Your yummiest super thin and super buttery pancakes that you're so proud of. He did remember , you used to make it for him every time we came visiting you and Abby from CT.
Among so many memories,
I also remember your favorite Hebrew lines;
Ein Geshem Hayom it's not raining today' and I'll tell you~
it wasn't raining on Wednesday this week, it was pretty sunny day, the day that you left this world.
We wish your warm, and fun and generous spirit ~ to fly free and move on to a higher adventure

Much love you'll be missed
Yael, Ali and Nathaniel

I was so sorry to hear this news, and so glad I was able to reconnect with Walt on November 27 last year for lunch, after many many years. I scheduled 3 hours for us, and he said "that should be about half of what we need, toots." It was absolutely wonderful to catch up with him, to see him so happy, proudly telling me about his family. So many of my greatest memories include Walt and golf clubs. To this day I haven't played more rounds of golf with any other person than him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

To Mike and all Walt's loved ones --

I do not have a current mailing address for Walt or Mike, so this is all I can do at present. I am so sorry it was impossible for me to attend the memorial for Walt. My partner Chuck and I have know Walt and Mike since they started their business together many years ago. It's hard to define, but in the course of life, one meets very few people whom one immediately trusts. You just know they are people of personal integrity. Walt was one of those. There was nothing false or forced about him - a remarkable rarity in folks in the service industry.

We were a small group of 10 people who had recently purchased a townhouse on Riverside Drive. I was the President of the ownership corporation. We were all quite young and inexperienced in building management and maintenance. And none of us were wealthy: mostly social workers, teachers, artists and writers. So this was a sink or swim situation. I can't express how essential they were to our survival as a living community. Not only weekly advice, but many projects managed at a cost reasonable for working people.
And Walt was a great pleasure to work with - so knowledgeable, yet patient and approachable. Until recently, many years later, we continued to seek him out for advice and guidance. So he will be greatly missed, both as a person and in his professional capacity. Sincere condolences from my partner Chuck as well as myself. Please feel free to contact me if I can be helpful in any way. Anthony C.
