Obituary of Susan Meich

Susan C. Meich (nee Anderson), of New York City, passed away on August 27, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born in Hell's Kitchen, NYC to the late John and Mary.

Susan worked as a telephone/switchboard operator for the New York Hotel Trades for many years before retiring from The Algonquin Hotel.

Susan was the beloved wife of the late Victor Meich. She was the cherished mother of Karen Houlihan-Freda and her husband Sam, George Houlihan, Patricia Houlihan, Darlene Krauth and her husband Helmut. She was the adored grandmother of Sam Jr. and his wife Yudit, Casey, Kristen, Kiera, Conor, Max, and loving great-grandmother to Rachel, Lauren, and Emily.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30th from 4pm to 9pm at Crestwood Funeral Home, 445 W. 43rd Street., NYC. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, August 31st at 9:30am at Holy Cross Church, 329 West 42nd Street, NYC. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
