Obituary of Angel Cruz

March 5, 2021

Angel Cruz, who we called Pa, Grandpa, and Angelo, was an exceptional man, born in Catano, Puerto Rico, in 1946. He came from a large family of 16 brothers and sisters and arrived in New York in the 1960s. He worked as a merchant marine where he traveled the world, from Africa, Spain, China, and the Middle East. His career allowed him to travel the world and earn a living for his family in NYC and Parents in Puerto Rico.

He had a big heart and an infectious smile.

He found the love of his life Carmen who he spent the last 44 years of his life adoring. He leaves behind two daughters and one son plus two sons from a previous marriage.

He enjoyed fishing and riding his bike. The bike allowed him his freedom as he got older, and walking became difficult. He will be missed immensely by family and friends.
