Obituary of Barbara (Bobbie) Sutphin

Barbara {Bobbie} Sutphin started her greatest adventure in the wee hours of Sept. 18th while at her home in the city that she loved so dearly. Bobbie was a faithful and dedicated employee of Rockefeller Hospital from which she retired from in 1995. As a longtime resident of NYC, she loved the experience of city life, especially the Theatre and Arts. Bobbie was an accomplished Scholar, Artist, and Botanist. Whether through her paintings, cross-stitch, or tales of her travels she always brightened the lives of her family and friends. Her voraciousness for knowledge and reading is self-evident through her accomplishments and vast book collection. Her passing will leave a hole in our lives and hearts. She is survived by her Nephew, Niece, and several Great Nephews and Nieces. Services will be held at the Crestwood Funeral Home in NYC. For anyone wanting to pay their respects, visitation will be on Wednesday, September 22nd 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
